Strength: they are slotted bushings with interior and exterior thread, designed to tap their own threads as soon as they are driven into drilled or die-cast holes in order to increase the tensile strenght in any screw connection.
The thread-cutting action is performed by the slot on the pilot portion of the insert.
Vibration resistance:
they withstand vibrations without loosening and this has been proved by many tests in several parts of engines and machineries.
Fast installation:
as they don't need pre-tapping of holes and they are suitable for fastenings with automatic feeders during belt productions.
Economization: by tapping their own threads they avoid costs of pre-tapped holes for helically coiled wire thread inserts.
Method of assembling:
The presence of chips shows the thread-cutting action
The most economical system to repair damaged threads on work material
